'Murder in Moselle' - Movie Review

Original French title: "Amours à mort." Another episode of the French TV series "Murder in ..."

This one concentrates not on pretty scenery, but on a steel mill in the Moselle region and its ugly history: a closing and strike in 1991, and its take-over during the Second World War by the Germans. And the secrets and trauma running through generations as a result of both. There are a couple minor travel porn shots, but the movie focuses almost entirely on the ugliness of the shuttered steel factory. There's romance, catharsis, and arrests. Lands squarely in the middle of the series for quality, watchable without being particularly good.
